HUM wake up from slumber

The Ministry of Information, Youth, Culture and Sports (HUM) football team rectified their mistakes and beat RAS-Simiyu 2-0 in the ongoing Interministries Sports Federation (SHIMIWI) Games at the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) grounds on Tuesday.

The winners got their goals in both halves through Erick Mfugale and Morris Ndenda and restored their hopes of proceeding into the next round.

HUM, who lost 2-1 in their game against the State House, now have two matches in hand against the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and Immigration Department which they need to win to proceed to the second round.

In other matches, the National Audit Office beat Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism 1-0, Prime Minister’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PMORALG) drew 1-1 draw with the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements. RAS-Dar es Salaam edged the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children 1-0.

State House continued to excel after their men’s team won 2-0 in a tug-ofwar against the President’s Office – Public Service Management (Utumishi).

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Vice President’s Office and Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Cooperatives emerged winners against RAS-Tabora, RAS-Manyara and GST respectively by the same margin.

Other teams which won their games at the Jamhuri Stadium are Ministry of Industry and Trade who defeated Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements 2-0 while Prime Minister’s Office beat Immigration by the same margin and Treasury won against RAKatavi.

In the women’s category State House outshone Home Affairs 2-0, Ministry of Infrastructure won 1-0 against Ministry of Health and Police beat Ras-Njombe.

In netball, RAS-Tanga beat Ministry of Industry and Trade 51-5 goals and RAS-Njombe won 37-7 over RAS-Tabora.
