Between Vision Volleyball Camp VC and Ndejje Elites, whichever team will display clever efforts in Game Three of the NSSF Volleyball League playoff on Friday should be victorious.
Focus in the final games has been directed more towards pounding the ball across the net but this approach disproved Ndejje Elites last Friday when VVC successfully locked out their most lethal attacker Belinda Jepkirui and won Game Two.
Vision Volleyball Camp women team captain Viola Akisa has since said that “at this level volleyball is highly a game of brains.”
“If we can keep our focus and block Belinda and even force their coach (Johnson Kawenyera) to substitute her like we did in Game Two, we shall take the night,” Akisa prayed.
VVC came from a loss in Game One in the best of five series playoff finals to level in Game Two with a straight sets victory.
Whereas VVC’s effort seems to be targeted towards Jepkirui, Ndejje’s outside attacker Christine Alupo and Saidat Nnungi could present surprises if setters Winnie Nakabuubi and Emma Njeri get their games right tonight.
In the men’s category, Dickens Otim, Ivan Ongom and Patrick Musoke hope to exhibit a similar fight that effectively gave Sport-S a 3-1 victory over KAVC in Game Two.
KAVC will not want to bench their most lethal attacker Daudi Okello again tonight and regret the effects like they did in Game Two.
Okello came in after KAVC had lost the bigger part of the game and although he tried to revitalise his team, it was already late. Sport-S won Game Two 3-1. Both the men and women teams tie 1-1 going into Game Three tonight.
