The national beach soccer team will take on Egypt in the Africa Beach Soccer qualifiers at the Escape One Club, Msasani in Dar es Salaam on Friday.

The two teams will battle for a ticket into the finals of the continental competition to be held in Seychelles next month. Tanzania eliminated Kenya from the qualifiers 12-9 on aggregate in the first round.

They recorded a 5-3 victory in Mombasa, before recording a 7-6 win in the return leg in Dar es Salaam to set a date with Egypt. The winner of the double-header clash will automatically cruise into the finals.

Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Information Officer Baraka Kizuguto said on Tuesday the national team has been undergoing intensive training at Bamba Beach, Kigamboni in Dar es Salaam for about two weeks now.

He said the match officials are expected to jet in today. They are Eid Haitham Eid Hassan from Sudan, who will be assisted by his compatriots Abaker Mohamed Bilal and Abdalla Hassain Hassaballa.

Timekeeper is Boubaker Bessem from Tunisia, while the match commissioner is Khiba Herbert Mohoanyane from Lesotho. Egypt are also expected to arrive this afternoon. The return leg match will be held in Egypt between March 20 and 22.
