Uganda’s dependable shooter, Peace Proscovia has vowed to pass on her newly acquired skills from the recently concluded England Netball Super League to the summoned She Cranes players undergoing training at Namboole.
The 6.4ft athlete who appeared excited and very prepared for any encounter, promised to work alongside the coaches if given the mandate.
“It’s been just a few months but It has helped me a lot. The kind of training, the game moves and the playing techniques we went throughout there could easily improve on our game if the players are willing to corporate and take these notes serious,” Proscovia said on arrival at Entebbe International Airport on Monday night.
Proscovia whose flight was delayed for an hour finally arrived at 11:40pm after over four months on professional duty in the United Kingdom where she was playing for Loughborough Lightning netball team.
USPA’s 2014 netball player of the year was welcomed by among others her mother who was still nursing wounds after she got a boda boda accident while in her home town in Arua last week on Friday.
The athlete has also been shortlisted for the USPA personality of the year award alongside Moses Kipsiro, Clair Lamonu and Yunus Ssentamu.
Among her local programs, Proscovia who also plays for local club National Insurance Corporation (NIC) is likely to join the She Cranes team training next week.
