Umar Semata, who holds three kickboxing world titles, has stepped up his training programme in Thailand ahead of a fight in Kampala.

Semata, who is among the top four fighters worldwide in the super welterweight category, will face Australia’s Piotr Lagodzki.
Lagodzki, based in Sydney, is ranked 10th by the World Kickboxing Federation (WKF). The fight was launched in Kampala recently.
Semata beat Egyptian fighter Abdallah Hossein to win the crown.
Uganda’s Ronald Mugula and Hungary’s late fighter Andras Nagy had earlier on won the same title.
The fight, organised by Lash Media and Sipapa Global Entertainment, will have undercard fights involving foreign figures and Ugandans.
The event’s promoter Alice Namatovu assured kickboxing followers that they will get value for their money.
