Primary School kids taking part in the ongoing National Primary Schools and Special Needs Learners Ball Games in Mubende, will each go back home with a ball, courtesy of the Germany Embassy in Uganda.
The donation of 2500 balls was handed over to the Commissioner for Physical Education and Sports Omara Apitta, by the Ag. Germany Ambassador to Uganda HE Petra Kechedorfer at the official opening ceremony of the games at Kasenyi SS ground in Mubende town on Sunday.
Kechedorfer thanked the Uganda Ministry of Education and Sports for always involving the Germany government into its sports development programmes.
Apitta was grateful to the Germany government for continued support towards the development of sports in Uganda.
“We thank the Germany government for this continued facilitation of our sports activities and we hope this will be a great boost for talent development right from primary,” Apitta said.
