The Tanzania Amateur Volleyball Association (TAVA) is gearing up for this year’s local and international tournaments.
TAVA Chairman, Augustine Agape told the ‘Sunday News’ in Dar es Salaam that they have set their targets clear for the game’s bright year. He added that the job will soon start after unveiling the calendar of events early next week.
“The 2014 volleyball calendar will be out early next week, after that, we will start working accordingly for the prosperity of the game,” he said.
Agape said that his committee met this week in Dar es Salaam and one of their agenda was to finalise the calendar for this year’s event.
“The work is still on, but we are making the final touches, everything is going on well and we will release it next week,” he said.
He added that his association was working tirelessly, trying to show the game in the country, saying, however, that it was not an easy job.
Financial constraint has been a major problem, he said.
