While the 20th edition of Inter-primary School Games (UMITASHUMTA) winds up tomorrow, volleyball, handball, netball and soccer champions will be known later today after the final matches.
In handball final, Lake Zone will battle for the glory against Western Lake Zone in the girls’ category at the Kibaha Education Centre grounds. To qualify for the final Lake Zone eliminated Western Zone in the semi-final, while Western Lake Zone outshone Southern Highland Zone.
In the boys’ category, Dar es Salaam Zone will lock horns with Western Lake in what is expected to be a mouthwatering encounter, as both teams have proved to be good in the game.
Dar es Salaam eliminated Southern Highland Zone to reach the final, while their opponents defeated Western Zone. Lake Zone will battle with Southern Highland in volleyball final in the boys’ category set for Friday, while Dar es Salaam will take on Lake Zone in the football final.
In special football, Eastern Zone will play against Dar es Salaam to battle for the title. In netball, Lake Zone has cruised into the final after defeating Eastern Zone 12-7 in the semis.
The 20th edition of UMITASHUMTA winds up tomorrow with athletics finals in 100 meters, 800m and 100×4 relay. The winners will be awarded medals to be presented to them by the chief guest.
